THE ENHANCED STUDENT PERFORMANCE PROGRAM FAQ's

Q. What is the ESP about?

A. The Next Step To Success Enhanced Student Performance program prepares students for exams. These Enhanced Student Performance program has been created to allow the student to gain the best from their studies. They will be shown how to relax and focus so that study motivation and exam recall will improve. Setting Goals, Strategies and Actions will enable them to find a clearer direction for their future. Schools generally do the best they can. Some schools have already have aspects of the NS2S programs included in the school curriculum. Next step 2 Success takes it further.

Q. Who can attend?
A. The facilitators believe the Telunas Retreats and Weekend or Holiday Workshops are best suited to High School students from years 9 - 12. It is an ideal time in their educational lives as they put into practise the concepts and techniques they will learn, which will be useful in their current and further education.

Q. Why a Grade 9 Workshop?
A. We have a workshop just for 9th graders at the start of the (US) school year. While the workshop is the same as the other high school students generally, 9th graders immediate needs are more focused on High School itself, with an eye to college and further education. It also gives them the chance to spend time specifically with their own age group as they make the transition to their final years of Secondary Schooling. We are more than happy to consider other students or schools situations. If you have any questions, please get in contact.

Q What about other students such as 7th and 8th?
A.  At this stage our focus is on the older high school student. We feel it is best for them to wait until they start grade/year 9, however if the demand is there we are more than willing to consider working with the younger students.  If you have any questions, please get in contact.

Q. And Seniors and Year 12's?
A. Seniors (US Year 12's)and Year 12's are more than welcome. It will depend upon the School, Scholastic Year and time of year the workshop or Retreat is held. But certainly, even recently graduated Seniors would  benefit and we would be delighted to see them!

Q. What is the cost of the Retreat & Workshops?
A. Costs vary depending upon days and venues.

Q What materials do the Retreats and Workshops include?
A.  In most cases, everything. There should be no additional cost. If it involves an overnight stay or a longer retreat, you will need to bring personal items such as clothes and a small amount of spending money.
