Next Step To Success Pte Ltd is dedicated to assisting individuals and families who live in Singapore to achieve their full potential in today's modern world.
David Dixon is the Director of Next Step to Success. His undergraduate and post-graduate training was in the mainstream medical field as a podiatrist where he successful practiced as a podiatrist for over 25 years. In 1997 he started utilizing hypnotherapy as a part of his podiatric surgical treatment.
Initially, David started using hypnosis to assist the patient to relax, prior to day surgery as a 'pre-op' or a 'no drug relaxant', especially when the patient was extremely nervous about receiving local anaesthetic injections and being awake during the procedure. After the procedure had been completed, many patients would awaken to full awareness, amazed the procedure was over, often completely unaware it had even taken place!
This developed into a part time hypnotherapy practice. From there it became a 'passion'. Hypnotherapy ultimately was more rewarding, producing immediate positive results. With hypnotherapy David has had success with helping people quit smoking, dealing with phobias and stress, assist with intractable pain, especially associated with cancer.
In 2006 he moved to Singapore to create Next Step To Success Pte Ltd and has continued down the path of hypnotherapy and the power of the subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy is one of the tools he offers in assisting people. This can be especially useful for people, such a students and smokers who may be requiring 'internal' motivation. But overall, he has a passion to assist people, in particular youth and their parents to help their children and families reach their full potential.
